GENERAL REFERENCE

General Reference refers to generally asked questions.  Encyclopedias, dictionaries, directories are good examples of reference sources.  They are very good for initial inquiries.  They serve the purpose of getting a small amoutn of information on a topic, which then can be used for more specific research later. Below are some good tools available through the open internet and through McGrath Library's online subscriptions.
